안녕하십니까?

한국학진흥사업단의 이강한 단장입니다.

길고 길었던 2020년이 이제 저물어 갑니다.

아마도 많은 이들의 기억에 고통스럽고, 가슴아프고, 괴로웠던 한 해로 남을 듯합니다.

온 세계가 신음했던 올 한 해 모든 이들의 일상이 엉망이 되었고, 

학문연구 또한 예외가 아니었습니다. 

언제 끝날지 모르는 시련이라는 사실 자체가 우리를 더욱 힘들게 합니다.

그러나 이런 때일수록 더욱 힘을 내어 앞으로 나아가야 할 것입니다.

일상생활을 어떻게든 회복하려 노력함은 물론, 학문적 진리탐구를 위한 노력 또한
계속돼야 할 것입니다.

한국학진흥사업단은 2021년에도 국내외 모든 한국학 연구자분들과 적극적으로 소통하고자 하며,

여러 연구자분들의 연구를 물심양면으로 지원하는 노력을 계속하고자 합니다.

부디 모든 분들의 연말연시가 행복하고, 여러분들의 가정에 새해 만복이 깃들기를 바라며, 무엇보다도 건강하시기를 기원합니다.

Hello, this is Lee Kang Hahn from KSPS.

The Year 2020, which will most certainly go down in historical records as one
of the longest years in recent memory, is now nearing its end. It has also been
a year that will be remembered for a long time, for all the wrong reasons. The
entire globe has suffered, with people’s everyday lives have been damaged and disturbed.
Academic studies was only one of such victims, and there is no exit in sight.

However, this is the time we find ourselves in need of rising up to the
challenge and keep charging ahead, not only in our ordinary lives but also in
our pursuit of academic excellence. In 2021, KSPS plans to resume active
communication with Koreanology scholars, researcher and students all around the
world. We hope next year would mark a new year of cooperation, for which KSPS
will never cease endeavoring to meet the needs of our colleagues in Korea and
abroad.

On behalf of KSPS, I wish you all a happy and healthy new year.
