한국학진흥사업단은 2007년 출범 이래 국내외 한국학연구 진흥에 매진해 왔습니다.

해외에서는 한국학자의 양성 및 연구/교육거점의 육성에 주력해 왔고,

국내에서는 기초학문 지원 및 성과 확산에 노력해 왔습니다.

장차 한국학이 세계학계에서 명실상부한 학문영역으로 거듭날 수 있게끔,

국학 및 지역학으로서의 위상을 골고루 갖춘 한국학의 정립에 노력하겠습니다.

모쪼록 국내외 학자와 대중들의 많은 관심과 독려, 제안을 부탁드립니다.

Dear Scholars and Researchers in the field of Koreanology,

Since its foundation, the Korean Studies Promotion Service (KSPS) has continued to develop academic funding programs designed to aid and assist Korean Studies domestic and abroad.

We also tried to encourage scholars and students to not only engage in deeper studies, but explore new methods and perspectives to examine Korea’s past and present much more comprehensively.

KSPS intends to continue its endeavor even more vigorously in the future, and to that end KSPS will continue incorporating new ideas and opinions into our programs as well as developing new forms of Koreanology promotion platforms.

Hopefully our efforts will be effective in further vitalizing Korean studies abroad and sending domestic achievements to foreign shores, and ultimately lead to enhanced exchanges between scholars around the world that would only result in more thorough and detailed understanding of what it means to be Korean.
