2019년 9월 30일 한국학진흥사업단은 러시아 카잔연방대학교에서 개최 된 「제10회 국제 한국학 학술대회」에 참석하였다. 카잔연방대학교는 2016년 해외한국학 씨앗형사업에 선정 된 후, 2019년 해외한국학 중핵대학육성사업으로 신규 선정 된 대학으로 향후 5년 간 연구사업을 수행할 예정이다.

이번 국제학술대회는 해외한국학 중핵대학육성사업의 일환으로 개최되었으며, 한국과 러시아, 카자흐스탄 그리고 우즈베키스탄의 한국학자와 한국학 전공생 등 37명이 한국의 역사‧언어‧경제‧사회‧문화‧문학 등에 관한 논문을 발표하는 자리를 가졌다.

  구난희 한국학진흥사업단장은 이 자리에서 러시아 및 독립국가연합(CIS) 지역 내 한국학이 단시간에 성장해왔으며, 이러한 한국학 확대에 크게 기여하고 있음에 감사 인사를 전했다.

Russian Kazan Federal University Held 「10th International Conference on Korean Studies」

  The Korean Studies Promotion Service(KSPS) attended the 「10th International Conference on Korean Studies」on September 30, 2019, that held at Kazan Federal University in Russia. the Kazan Federal University was the Seed Program for Korean Studies in 2016, then in 2019, it is selected as a new university for the Core University Program for Korean Studies. This International Conference held as a part of Core University programme in abroad by KSPS had invited 37 Korean Studies scholars from Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to have presentations about Korean history, language, economics, social studies, culture and literature.

  NanHee Ku, the head of the KSPS, said at the meeting, "We are grateful that Korean studies in Russia and the regions of the Commonwealth of Independent States(CIS) have grown in a short duration. Also, we have truly appreciated its contribution to the expansion of Korean Studies."
