    한국학진흥사업단은 <한국학진흥사업의 현재와 미래>를 주제로 2018년 12월 20일(목)에 공개 토론회를 개최하였다. 이번 토론회는 운영 11년을 맞은 한국학진흥사업의 발자취를 돌아보면서 학계의 다양한 여론을 수렴하여 새로운 발전방안을 모색하는 목적을 가진다. 

    토론회에는 한국학중앙연구원 안병욱 원장, 한국학진흥사업단 구난희 단장, 김창겸 부단장, 교육부 윤소영 학술진흥과장을 비롯해 원내외 관계자와 연구자 약 40여 명이 참석하였다. 구난희 단장의 한국학진흥사업단 약사 소개에 이어 장원석 사업기획실장이 한국학진흥사업 발전방안을, 최병용 사업관리실장이 한국학진흥사업 주요 성과에 대해 발표하였다. 토론은 한신대 윤상철 교수, 대전대 도면회 교수, 한국학중앙연구원 한도현 교수가 맡았다.

    당일 총 3시간에 걸쳐 진행된 토론회에서 참석자들은 한국학에 맞는 연구기획 및 사업운영의 필요성, 국내 및 해외 한국학의 지원방향, 중장기 마스터플랜 수립, 학문기반 조성 사업에 대한 지속적 지원 등을 주제로 다양한 의견을 제시하였다.  


     

     

    Holding of a Korean Studies Promotion Service Discussion Forum


    The Korean Studies Promotion Service (KSPS) held an open discussion forum on “the present and future KSPS” on Thursday, December 20, 2018.  The goal of the forum was to seek new development plans by reflecting on the history of the KSPS after eleven years of operation and collect the opinions of academics. There were roughly forty attendees both from the KSPS and outsiders including the President of the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) Byung-ook Ahn, KSPS Director Nan-hee Ku, KSPS Deputy Director Chang-kyum Kim, and Chief of the Academic Promotion Section at the Ministry of Education So-Yeong Yun. The forum lasted for about three hours and included presentations and discussion. Opinions and suggestions were made on a variety of subjects including the need for Korean Studies research plans, the direction of support of Korean Studies both domestically and abroad, the establishment of a long-term masterplan, and continued support for the project for creating academic foundations.
