한국학진흥사업단 사업기획실(장원석 실장, 배은영 정행정원)은 2018년 3월 22일부터 3월 25일까지 Washington D.C.에서 개최된 Association for Asian Studies (AAS) 연례학술회의에 참가하였다.

이번 참가는 AAS에 참석한 미주 및 동아시아 관계 해외 연구자들과 업무협의회를 가지고 글로벌 한국학 현안, 한국학진흥사업 개선안 등을 논의하기 위해 이루어졌다. 특히 유럽권의 글로벌 한국학 사업 참여 경향, 사업 수행과 현지 연구교육 실정과의 적정성, 한국학세계화랩 사업에 대한 관심도와 개선안, 한국고전100선영문번역사업의 번역도서 등에 관한 의견과 건의사항을 수집하였다.

Researchers for Gathering Suggestions to Improve the Global Korean Studies Project

From March 22 to March 25, 2018, the Program Planning Division (Department Head Won-seok Jang and Staff Member Eun-young Bae) of the Korean Studies Promotion Service were in Washington D.C. for the annual Association for Asian Studies (AAS) conference.

The purpose of attending the AAS conference was to hold a meeting with cooperating overseas researchers from the Americas and East Asia to discuss the current state of the Global Korean Studies project and gain suggestions for improving the Korean Studies Promotion Service. In particular, opinions and suggestions were collected relating to participation in the Global Korean Studies project in Europe, the propriety of project implementation and the current state of research education, interest in and recommendations for the Laboratory Program for Korean Studies, and the translated works of the English Translation of 100 Korean Classics project.
