한국학진흥사업단은 한국학분야 우수성과 5권을 선정하였다. 이번 우수성과는 교육부 학술연구지원을 받은 연구과제 중 2016년도에 산출된 성과물을 대상으로 내외부 추천과 선정평가를 거쳐 최종 선정되었다. 

국내외 학계 파급 효과, 해외 한국학 인지도 제고, 신진연구 장려 등의 사항이 종합적으로 고려된 이번 선정평가에서 <한국고전100선 영문번역> 역서 2권을 비롯하여 <해외한국학 중핵대학육성사업>, <한국학사전편찬>, <한국학총서> 성과물 각 1권이 선정되었다. 최종 선정된 5권의 우수성과에는 12월중 부총리 겸 교육부장관으로부터 표창이 수여될 예정이다.

Five Books Designated as Excellent in Korean Studies for 2016

The Korean Studies Promotion Service had five books selected as excellent in Korean Studies for 2016. The works considered for the honor were the final outcomes of the projects within the Ministry of Education’s Academic Research Support Program which were supported by the Korean Studies Promotion Service and produced in 2016. Those selected were nominated by internal and external entities and passed through a review process.   

The works selected this year include two from the “English Translation of 100 Korean Classics” project as well as one from “Core University Program for Korean Studies,” “Compilation of Korean Studies Related Dictionaries,” and the “Korean Studies Series” respectively. Consideration was integrally based on the domestic and international research impact, boosting awareness of Korean Studies abroad, and encouraging research of young scholars, etc. Awards for these five works will be presented in December by Deputy Prime Minister who also serves as the Minister of Education.
